We all know that "NCIS" season 11 is going to be saying goodbye to Cote de Pablo and her character, Ziva, in episode 2, "Past, Present, and Future," and on Thursday, Sept. 12, CBS released more information about her farewell episode.
In this upcoming "NCIS" episode, Tony (Michael Weatherly) chases leads in Israel in his determination to find Ziva's current whereabouts while Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the rest of the team continue the hunt for Parsa and his growing terrorist ring. Joe Spano, who plays Fornell and showed up at the very end of the season 10 finale and will be in the premiere, is in this episode as well. We know that the first two episodes of the season are connected, and the promo for the beginning of the season has revealed that the team is being targeted. Specifically, Ziva is the next target, and we have a feeling that's going to factor into her exit.
That same promo also shows Tony and Ziva together in Israel, in a very familiar spot from last season. "Don't worry, Tony," she tells him. "We will be okay." This has to come from NCIS episode 1102, and it looks like something "Tiva" fans are going to be happy to see on their screens. But will that be their goodbye scene? Will Tony find Ziva in Israel just to have to say goodbye to her? It's beginning to look like she may have to stay in Israel for some reason—the season finale did also reveal the real threat is on home soil, so could it not be safe for Ziva in the US?—which could also explain why not everyone gets to say goodbye to her.
"NCIS" season 11 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS, with episode 2, "Past, Present, and Future," airing Oct. 1. How do you think Ziva will be leaving the show?
