With next week's episode, we get another look at the New Orleans team on "NCIS" in episode 11x19, the second part of "Crescent City," for which CBS released a new sneak preview on Tuesday, March 25.
In this next "NCIS," Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Pride (Scott Bakula) chase leads in New Orleans after evidence points to a copycat of the infamous Privileged Killer after both a Congressman and former NIS agent and an FBI agent's murders fit the serial killer's MO. As the first episode of the two-parter ended, Gibbs, Pride, Lasalle (Lucas Black) and Brody (Zoe McLellan) had discovered where the killer found his victims – and they were being watched.
So far, Pride and the ME, Loretta Wade (CCH Pounder), whom we need to see more of in next week's conclusion to really get a good feel for her, seem to be the best parts of this new team.
While Gibbs brought Bishop (Emily Wickersham) with him to New Orleans, Fornell (Joe Spano) kept Tony (Michael Weatherly) and McGee (Sean Murray) back in DC with him, and in next week's episode, they'll continue to track political connections to the case. Plus, Bishop sends Tony a special souvenir from New Orleans – a voodoo doll of himself, as has been revealed.
The "Crescent City: Part II" promo, set to "Dark Star" by Jaymes Young," shows that the killer is still at it – and he's playing the NCIS agents on the case, but Pride doesn't like to lose.
"NCIS" season 11 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS. What do you think of the New Orleans team? Would you watch a spinoff?
