'NCIS' season 11 episode 17 preview: Preparing for fatherhood and babysitting

What's harder, babysitting a washed-up rocker or getting ready to be a father? That's the question for next week's "NCIS," 11x17, "Rock and a Hard Place," for which CBS released a new sneak preview on Tuesday, March 11.

In this next "NCIS," a bomb explodes in the dressing room at a military charity concert, and it's up to the team to determine if the target was a washed-up '80s rocker, Manheim Gold (guest star Keith Carradine), or if the bomb is part of a larger scheme.

Meanwhile, Palmer (Brian Dietzen) prepares for fatherhood, and as the "Rock and a Hard Place" promo shows, it's spilling over into his time at work. It looks like Abby's (Pauley Perrette) helping him get things together and Ducky's (David McCallum) timing him with that doll, but will one question from Gibbs (Mark Harmon) stop him in his tracks? And how does he react when the time comes for "it's happening"?

As for the case, after the explosion, Manheim Gold is placed in protective custody, and Tony (Michael Weatherly) is the one who's stuck dealing with him. So what's Tony's reaction when he finds the rocker throwing a party? "Make your way to the front door, or I will shoot you," he warns the partygoers. Yes, Tony has it worse.

"NCIS" season 11 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS. What do you think of the episode 17 "Rock and a Hard Place" promo?
