As revealed when the network announced its plans for its series' returns, Susanna Thompson ("Arrow") is returning as Hollis Mann, Gibbs' ex-girlfriend who hasn't been seen in years. In this next "NCIS" episode, she comes into the picture when a stolen drone is linked to the elusive terrorist Parsa, whom the team has been after since the beginning of the season. The team partners with the Department of Defense (where Hollis comes in) to find the device before it's used for a large scale attack.
Meanwhile, McGee (Sean Murray) hesitates to ask for time off to attend a black-tie gala honoring his girlfriend, Delilah (Margo Harshman). The "Kill Chain" promo offers a look at what looks like McGee dressed for that gala as well, and according to Abby (Pauley Perrette), he looks like the top of a wedding cake.
As for the case, Tony (Michael Weatherly) blames an alien airship for killing the victim after looking at Bishop's (Emily Wickersham) sketch, plus, there's a puzzle to solve and an explosion. When Hollis joins the group, Vance (Rocky Carroll) checks with Gibbs that she's not another ex-wife, a valid question really. Then there's Ducky (David McCallum) ominously saying, "Nothing is ever what it seems."
"NCIS" season 11 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS. What do you think of this episode 12 "Kill Chain" preview?
