TVLine is reporting that ‘Machete’ star, Danny Trejo, will be bringing some extra intensity to the dynamic of NCIS: Los Angeles. In an episode that is set to air during Sweeps in February, Trejo’s character will have some pretty interesting ties to multiple members of the beloved team from the Office of Special Projects.

The show’s creator, Shane Brennan, reportedly told TVLine, ‘It’s a big episode that takes everyone down to Mexico, where there’s a lot of action, as well as character stuff for Callen, Sam, and Hetty.’

Further information on the episode is not available at this time.

Dylan Bruno (‘Saving Private Ryan,’ ‘Numb3rs’) is also slated to appear in the upcoming episode, ‘War Cries,’ which is also scheduled to air in February. Playing Robert Brown, a former intelligence officer of the Army, it’s being said that the character will fear for his life while on the run.

NCIS: Los Angeles returns from its holiday hiatus on January 14.
