The "NCIS: Los Angeles" team is going to have to say goodbye to their weekend – and for a very good reason. In the sneak peek CBS released on Monday, May 5, from episode 5x23, "Exposure," Sam (LL Cool J) and Callen (Chris O'Donnell) get a look at a crime scene that means all hands on deck.

In this next episode, the team is called in for a weekend case after a deadly explosion at a military-sponsored charity event. A ZNN news reporter, Dana Steele, played by "Greek's" Tiffany Dupont, announces the group responsible, and it's up to the NCIS: LA team to investigate her claims and search for the attacker.

We've already seen the promotional photos offering a glimpse at the crime scene. The promo shows the explosion, the ZNN reporter on air, and a look at just how serious this case is, with NCIS working against the clock with another attack probable. Now, the "Exposure" sneak peek gives us a closer loo at the crime scene, through Sam and Callen's eyes.

First of all, it sounds like it is a very good thing Sam's daughter had her recital in the Valley. "This could've been my little girl's," he comments after picking up a kid's sneaker. But it's time to focus, and since the detonation velocity is near the top of the scale, Sam is thinking that they're looking at someone who used military grade explosives, something both agents agree you don't just pick up at Home Depot. With that, it's time to call Eric (Barrett Foa) to see about an update and to have him run down any leads on missing military grade explosives. The people responsible for this attack had to slip up somewhere, and this is the team to figure out where.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 5 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on CBS. What do you think of this episode 23 "Exposure" sneak peek?
