"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 5 began with quite an emotional premiere, but what happens when everyone tries to get back to normal? On Saturday, Sept. 28, CBS released a sneak peek from episode 2, "Impact," showing just that. But has everyone been able to move on?
In this next "NCIS: Los Angeles" episode, Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) isn't doing so well following the traumatic experience he and Sam (LL Cool J) went through, as seen in the promo that was already released. Four months have passed, as seen at the very end of "Ascension" when Callen (Chris O'Donnell) visited Janvier in prison, but based on the "Impact" sneak peek to the left, not everyone has made progress.
Kensi (Daniela Ruah), Nell (Renee Felice Smith), and Rose went on a group date—three guys, three girls, no pressure—the night before, and Nell made enough of an impression on all three guys to be getting some very interesting messages. (We have a feeling Eric's going to be jealous at some point in the episode, as has happened in the past.) What about Kensi? Well, her phone's off, and her heart just doesn't seem into it, given how she looks over to Deeks' empty desk. If she's going on group dates like this, nothing further seems to have happened between her and Deeks after the kiss and his open honesty at the end of the premiere, but with this and the preview, it also looks like he's taken the time off that he needed. So what comes next for those two and for Deeks' career?
"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 5 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on CBS. What do you think of the episode 2 "Impact" clip?
