The fans of “NCIS: Los Angeles” watched the season finale and then reality set in. The agonizing process of waiting for new episodes is in full swing. The show is clearly a popular program with fans tuning in every week to find out exactly what happens to the crime fighters who call Los Angeles home. According to Forbes on Monday, “NCIS: Los Angeles” helped CBS dominate the Nielsen ratings being one of the five shows on the list for the network. The program is named one of the top ten highest shows on television.

Even though the popular CBS show, along with the original show “NCIS,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Person of Interest” and “Blue Bloods” were half of the top five, the network did not land the top spot in the Nielson Rankings. NBC receives the honor as the network has some scripted shows and popular sports events as well.

The fans are excited about where the story picks up when the “NCIS: Los Angeles” season premiere kicks off in the fall, but some of the viewers can’t wait to see what happens. Trying their hand at creating a little story magic, there is a drastic increase in fan fiction posted online with the characters of the CBS series. From how Special Agent Kensi Blye and Marty Deeks, work their next case together to the outcome of Henrietta “Hetty” Lange’s departure on the season finale. Scenarios are being shared with other “NCIS: Los Angeles” fans and viewers are discussing what they would like to see happen.

Luckily, the season premiere of the show already has been taped so fans can see how Special Agent "G" Callen and his partner Special Agent Sam Hanna get out of that small submarine loaded to explode for some devious plot. While it’s going to be a long summer before fans find out what happens to the characters on the show, the cliffhangers are also making sure the viewers are tuning in for the next season.
