There is a new "NCIS" series in the works, and this episode is the backdoor pilot for it. The series is titled "NCIS: Red." The series will star Kim Raver and John Corbett, and both are featured in these new photos.
During this episode, Callen and Hanna will travel to Idaho to meet up with the Red team when a murder weapon found at that location is tied to a case they are working on in Los Angeles. The Red team is a mobile unit team that travels from case to case.
"NCIS: Red" has not been picked up yet as a series by CBS yet. The "NCIS" franchise is doing well this season though. Fans are buzzing about this series on social media already. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
A new #NCIS spin-off starts soon. #NCISRed will star the totally awesome @ScottGrimes. I hope to hear some of his music in the show.
