"NCIS" is going through some big changes on CBS, and now fans are being given some inside scoop on what is coming up next on the series. On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Xfinity shared a new interview withGary Glasberg about the series, and he offers some new teasers for the episode that will air on tonight's episode and future episodes through Christmas.
Tonight's episode titled "The Better Angels" will feature Gibbs leaving the team behind to help his father with something he needs. He will not be leaving the team completely behind, according to Glasberg though. He will be in contact with the team the entire time. His departure will cause some playful 'sparing' between McGee and Tony over who should lead the investigation with Gibbs away. McGee will even point out Tony's sleep issues as a potential reason for him to lead instead. However,
Tony finally slept at the end of last week's episode.
Tony is still feeling the impact of Ziva's departure from the team and the series, and Glasberg did reveal that fans will see more about how Tony deals with his issues on the Nov. 12 episode. It is the Nov. 19 that will bring in Emily Wickersham as a series regular to replace Ziva on the team.
Glasberg also teased the Christmas episode that will air on Dec. 17, which is titled "Homesick." The episode will focus in on Vance and how he is dealing with the loss of his wife. The team will have a case on the episode too. Glasberg teased the following about the episode:
There is an interesting, really solid, good story about a virus that is getting military families sick. It sounds really dark, but it makes for a good backdrop for the Christmas episode and focuses on Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) working with her friend Meredith Eaton, who plays Carol Wilson, and Palmer (Brian Dietzen). They are all putting their heads together in the lab to try to get to the bottom of what is happening.
What do you think? Are you excited to see what is coming up next on this CBS series? "NCIS" will continue to air on Tuesday nights.
