The NCAA is honoring the nation’s top equestrian student-athletes, naming several top riders April 4th for All-American Awards. Awards will be presented at the opening ceremonies of the 2011 Varsity Equestrian National Championships, scheduled for Wednesday, April 13th, at Texas’ Baylor University.
“This is a very exciting time for Varsity Equestrian,” explained Lindsay Neubarth, NCAA Varsity Equestrian Steering Committee Chairperson. “This is the first year that we are able to award and acknowledge the top equestrian student-athletes in the country. This inaugural induction class really has something to be proud of. It is a true honor to be selected and these young ladies have represented their schools well.”
Here are the 2010-2011 NCAA Varsity Equestrian All-American award winners.
The honors include four areas: Equitation on the Flat, Equitation over Fences, Horsemanship, and Reining.
Equitation on the Flat winners include:
