The official selections for the 2014 NCAA Men’s Division I Hockey Tournament were announced today by the NCAA, and we’ll start revealing those selections with the #1 seeds in each region.

The #1 overall seed went to the Big Ten’s Minnesota Golden Gophers, who will host the West Regional at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Keep in mind that the Gophers lost in their semifinal on Friday versus Ohio State in the same building. The #2 overall seed will be Hockey East’s Boston College Eagles, who will play in the Northeast Regional in Worcester. BC was beaten by Notre Dame in the Hockey East quarterfinals.

Finally, the #4 overall seed and the top seed in the Midwest Regional went to the Wisconsin Badgers, who won the Big Ten in style by defeating Ohio State 5-4 in overtime on Saturday night in St. Paul, MN.
