2013 NCAA tournament bracket predictions include an expert siding with the Gonzaga Bulldogs. NCAA tournament bracket predictions have been released by every major sports site on the internet, but it is a CBS "expert" who Spokane fans might enjoy reading the most. In the updated picks from college basketball blogger Matt Norlander on Thursday (March 21), Gonzaga is picked to win its first national title.
Norlander predicts that Gonzaga will beat Southern University, Pittsburgh, and then Kansas State to make it into the Elite Eight. There he predicts they will beat New Mexico and head to Atlanta for the Final Four. In Atlanta, he projects that Gonzaga will first defeat fellow No. 1 seed Louisville from the Midwest Region and then the Miami Hurricanes in the championship game. The other team he predicts to make it to the Final Four are the Michigan Wolverines from the South Region.
To get that Final Four field, Norlander feels that Michigan will upset Kansas in the South Region and that Indiana is going to get upset by Syracuse in the East Region. Other noteworthy upsets that he predicts are Michigan State over Duke, Belmont over Arizona, and Notre Dame over Ohio State in what amounts to his biggest upset prediction of the tournament.
While many 2013 NCAA tournament bracket predictions are being made by college basketball fans around the country, this actually seems like a scenario that could lead to the Gonzaga Bulldogs making it all the way to the championship game.
