NCAA Top 25 basketball schedule: Syracuse vs. Georgetown; Vegas odds, prediction

This is NCAA basketball at its best. Tomorrow at high noon No. 5 Georgetown will face No. 17 Syracuse with plenty at stake in the Big East conference.

Where do we start?

First of all, this is the last time Georgetown and Syracuse will square off as Big East rivals. This July, Syracuse will officially join the Atlantic Coast Conference, while Georgetown will become part of a group of seven Catholic schools to form an all basketball-centric league.

The seven schools will still be part of the Big East, but let's be honest, it won't be the real Big East - at least not right away.

Also at stake for the Hoyas is a shot at a Big East title. A victory over the Cuse in the regular-season conference finale would give coach John Thompson III and Georgetown its first Big East title since 2008.

According to Jim Feist.com on March 8, the Las Vegas line on this huge Big East regular season finale has Georgetown -1 and the over'under number set at 121.

The first time these two teams met, Georgetown dominated Syracuse in the Dome in route to a 57-46 victory.

This time Georgetown is at home, and the results will be the same.

The Hoyas know not only is this the last Big East match-up vs. the mighty Orange, but a Big East title is in the balance. It will be tough, but the Hoyas will get the win.

Pick - Georgetown
