NCAA football scores for Week 5 included some close calls for Texas A&M and Florida State. Some of the Week 5 college football scores weren't favorable for the higher ranked teams, though, as several upsets did take place on Saturday (Sept. 28). At this point, the biggest upset was No. 11 Oklahoma State getting knocked off by West Virginia on the road.

No. 6 LSU lost to No. 9 Georgia (44-41), No. 22 Notre Dame lost to No. 14 Oklahoma (35-21), and No. 21 Ole Miss got embarrassed by No. 1 Alabama (25-0). As for the close calls, No. 8 Florida State had to come from behind to beat Boston College 48-34 and No. 10 Texas A&M had to hold on to beat a hot Arkansas team (45-33).

Some of the later Saturday games are underway as well, with No. 4 Ohio State leading No. 23 Wisconsin 31-21, No. 5 Stanford beating Washington State 17-3, and No. 2 Oregon up on California 6-0 so far. There is a lot of time left in all three of those games, but the potential of upsets taking place has started to fade away.

When the voters begin to fill out their polls this weekend, the Week 5 NCAA football scores they will probably pay most attention to are the LSU vs. Georgia game and the Alabama vs. Ole Miss game.
