There's NCAA football 2013 live stream and televised games on the schedule for Thursday, Sept. 12, as the No. 24 ranked TCU Horned Frogs and Texas Tech Red Raiders lock up in Lubbock, Texas. With TCU recently suffering a major injury at the QB spot, a home win by the Red Raiders could get them noticed for the upcoming polls. This latest TV and live stream NCAA football game will be presented thanks to ESPN.
According to ESPN.com on Sept. 12's preview, TCU will have to rely on a less-experienced player to take over at the quarterback position after senior Casey Pachall suffered a broken arm in last Saturday's game against Southeastern Louisiana. Pachall is scheduled to miss two months due to the injury, which was on his left arm (non throwing arm). In his place, TCU will go with Trevone Boykin, who has compiled 203 yards so far on 15-for-25 pass completions, resulting in two touchdowns for the team.
TCU coach Gary Patterson said with regards to Boykin, who was able to run for 35 yards on 5 attempts this past Saturday:
"He just makes some plays with his legs that Casey hasn't, but Casey makes some plays with his arm that Trevone doesn't do. But it's two weeks in a row he came in and did some good things."
On the other side of the field, Texas Tech will go with a more-experienced QB in Baker Mayfield. He's racked up 780 yards so far this season in two victories on 64-of-90 pass completions including 7 touchdowns. He's also led the team in rushing with 21 carries and 82 yards, as well as a touchdown scored on the ground. Consider him a dual-threat for the Red Raiders as they attempt to grab their first conference win tonight.
Despite all that, TCU is still favored on the money line at -153 when it comes to the odds. The No.24 ranked team is a 3-point favorite with the over/under for tonight's game set at 63 points. Weather is expected to be in the low 70's with overcast conditions currently for Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock.
Tonight's NCAA game featuring TCU vs. Texas Tech has a start time of 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The game will be televised via cable or satellite providers on ESPN. Live streaming online coverage comes by way of WatchESPN, which is only available to select cable or satellite customers. See more details on how to watch here at WatchESPN.
