The NCAA football Week 1 schedule rolls on today as the Ohio Bobcats head down to Louisville to take on the Cardinals. The kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EST today and can be seen streaming online and on TV via ESPN.
The Louisville Cardinals come into this game ranked #9 in the nation, but unlike other schools, they know they can’t afford to slip up early if they want to make a run at a BCS title.
According to a SB Nation report on Sept. 1, Louisville enters the season ranked ninth in both the AP Top 25 and USA Today Poll, while Ohio is unranked in both. These two programs will be facing off for the first time.
Heisman hopeful QB Teddy Bridgewater will lead the Cardinals into battle, and if he plays like he is capable, the sky is the limit in 2013 for Louisville. Bridgewater may be a long shot at this season's Heisman, but keep this in mind folks, last season at this time no one even knew who Johnny Manziel was on a national scale.
Ohio also has a great QB of their own in Tyler Tettleton. The son of former Detroit Tigers catcher Mickey Tettleton is more than capable of holding his own on the field. Last year he completed 62 percent of his passes and threw for 18 touchdowns.
