In NCAA football 2013 live stream online and televised action this weekend, an in-state college football battle takes place at Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington. The No. 7-ranked Louisville Cardinals will visit the Kentucky Wildcats with the Governor's Cup on the line in this annual matchup. The game will be live streaming online and televised via the ESPN channel and web services.
On Sept. 12, PreGame.com reported that the Cardinals are listed as favorites of two touchdowns over Kentucky in this in-state rivalry, with the over/under set for 60.5 points combined between the two teams. Coming into this game, the Cardinals have been impressive with their Top 10 ranking, as they've defeated Ohio 49-7 in their opener and then Eastern Kentucky 44-7 in last weekend's game.
While these teams the Cardinals have defeated so far aren't expected to make any sort of noise in terms of the BCS championship situation, Louisville seems ready to prove they are worth their No. 7 ranking. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been an early Heisman favorite, and to date he's compiled impressive stats of 752 yards and nine touchdowns on 46-of-60 completed passes. If they continue to roll, Louisville will likely move up a spot or two in the rankings after this weekend's action with the Alabama vs. Texas A&M game.
As for Kentucky, the team had a 2-10 record last season and the currently find themselves 1-1 on this young NCAA season. In their prior two meetings with Louisville, the Wildcats lost 24-17 in 2011, and then 32-14 just last year. Bridgewater was instrumental in that win with 232 yards passing, as the Cardinals also racked up 219 yards on the ground to help power the offense. If Kentucky pulls off the big upset in 2013, expect it be a major surprise to college football fans, just based on how the Cardinals have looked in the past few weeks.
