Welcome to Week 12 of the Examiner.com college basketball rankings, where Examiners from all over the nation vote for their Top 25 college basketball teams.
The upsets continue to come this week but nothing really shook up the Top 10 in the standings. The only teams that fell in the upper echelon of the standings were Duke and Michigan State.
The Kentucky Wildcats remained in the No. 1 position this week receiving 18 first place votes while No. 2 Syracuse lost all three of the first place votes they gained last week. However, Murray State, the last undefeated team in D1 basketball received a first place vote this week, their first of the season.
For the first time this season, no team dropped out of the Top 25, so there are no changes with new teams making debuts.
The Big East and continue to lead the Top 25 rankings with five teams each in the college basketball Top 25, followed by the Big Ten (4), ACC (4), Big 12 (3), SEC (3), Mountain West (2), WCC (2), Ohio Valley (1) and the Ivy League (1).
