NCAA champs Jenkins, Caldwell slated for clinic at Adam Frey Classic next Sat.

Bubba Jenkins and Darrion Caldwell -- two recent NCAA wrestling champs who won their titles in electrifying fashion -- are among the clinicians announced for the 2011 Adam Frey Classic Saturday, July 30, according to the event's website Friday.

The third-annual fundraiser -- consisting of a wrestling clinic, followed by an All-Star Classic wrestling event with matches featuring top current and former college mat stars -- will be held at Alumni Gym at Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J.

Clinic: The clinic, which runs from 9:00-11:30 a.m., will feature a number of top-flight wrestlers as instructors, including:

Cost for participating in the clinic is $15 per person. According to the website, a package consisting of the clinic, all-star wrestling Classic, lunch and "other goodies" will be available for $35 per person. To sign up in advance, contact event organizer Josh Liebman at josh@adamfrey.us

All-Star Classic: The wrestling event, scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m., is expected to have two NCAA champs (2011 heavyweight champ Zach Rey of Lehigh, and 2010 champ Max Askren of Missouri), 2011 NCAA finalist Robert Hamlin of Lehigh, and many more great amateur wrestlers. Tickets are available online for $25.

Proceeds from the Adam Frey Classic go to the Adam Frey Foundation,a non-profit organization to give comfort to and provide enjoyment for those receiving treatment for cancer. Adam Frey was a Cornell University wrestler who was diagnosed with cancer after the 2008 NCAAs. After a nearly two-year battle, Frey passed away on December 26, 2009 at age 23.
