NCAA basketball schedule: Michigan vs. Michigan State live stream and TV info (Video)

The NCAA basketball schedule for 2012-13 is in full swing with March Madness 2013 around the corner. Tonight there will be a huge in-state rivalry with Michigan vs. Michigan State live streaming and on television. The game will feature two teams ranked in the top ten, looking to climb higher with a win.

The Detroit Free Press reported on Feb. 12 about #4 Michigan's outlook heading into this game. The team enters this game at Michigan State after losing to Wisconsin in dramatic fashion. Down 3 points, Wisconsin was able to hit a huge heave of a shot before the regulation buzzer, tying the game and sending it to overtime. In OT, the Badgers took down the highly-ranked Wolverines by a final score of 65-62.

Michigan coach John Beilein said of the "humbling" loss his team suffered recently to Wisconsin:

"It was shocking to everybody. Stunning. We need to get back on the court and play again. Win or lose, let’s go out and continue to make this progress, this journey that we’re on, so that, by the end of the year, we can do the best we can do. And the only way to do your best sometimes is to be humbled. That was a humbling experience for us, to play so well in that game and lose it the way we did. So you get humbled, you get better."

The Wolverines will look to improve tonight by defeating a top-ranked in-state rival. Michigan State, currently ranked #8, has a record of 20-4 overall and 9-2 in the Big Ten, while Michigan has a 21-3 mark overall, and is 8-3 in the conference. The Spartans are led by their superstar junior guard Keith Appling who averages 14.1 points a game and 4.1 assists. They'll look to win their fourth straight game by attempting to give the Wolverines their second consecutive loss.

Tonight's Michigan vs. Michigan State game is live streaming online via WatchESPN broadband sports network, in regions where available. The online coverage may be blacked out in certain areas of the country. However, the game will be televised on ESPN starting at 9 p.m. EST. Roanoke viewers can watch it on Cox Cable channel 25.
