NBC has decided the final airing for “The Office.” According to E! News on Feb. 7, there will be an hour-long series finale on May 16.
Not only will this be the series finale of “The Office” but it will also be the 200th episode. There have not been a lot of details as to what will be in the final episode but no doubt it will be filled with a lot of goodbyes.
A lot of fans are still holding out hope that the return of Steve Carell’s character will be on the series finale. There is no official word on Carell’s return, but it has been said that there is not much hope that it will happen.
The boss of the “The Office,” Greg Daniels, indicated that Carell has already said goodbye on his final episode and got more of a goodbye than the other characters will get. Daniels also noted that they did not have any plans for Carell to return. Be sure to tune into the series finale on May 16.
