NBC sets, releases premiere dates for fall 2014 schedule

The summer is only just beginning, but the television networks are looking to get you as prepared for the fall as possible. Emails were sent out by NBC on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, and they revealed the premiere dates for the new and returning shows in the fall 2014 schedule. NBC is getting the jump on all other networks as they are the first to officially announce their premiere dates for fall 2014.

Everything officially begins on Sept. 4, 2014, with "Thursday Night Football" which will start off the entire season with the Green Bay Packers traveling to face the Seattle Seahawks. On Sept. 7, 2014, "Sunday Night Football will begin with the Indianapolis Colts in Denver to face the Broncos.

"The Biggest Loser" will begin its 16th official season on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014. "Law & Order: SVU" is also going into its 16th season, but fans will have to wait until Sept. 24, 2014, for the cop drama in New York to begin.

Speaking of cop drama, "Chicago P.D." did get renewed for a second season and it will begin right after the fall premiere of "SVU." This is all part of the biggest premiere week which begins with "The Voice" on Sept. 22, 2014, and it will be the debut of new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams.

10:00 p.m.: "Chicago Fire" season 3 premiere

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24
8:00 p.m.: "The Mysteries of Laura" series premiere

It is very likely that other networks such as CBS, ABC, FOX, FX, and more will soon be releasing their fall 2014 TV premiere dates. NBC got theirs out really early this year and are hoping to have viewers sit up and take notice.
