NBC's 'The Office' spoilers: 'Covert Affairs' star cast as...

Kelly Kapoor is finally moving on from Ryan on "The Office," and in the process she is getting quite the beau in his place.

According to a new report from TV Guide, Sendhil Ramamurthy (best known for his roles on "Covert Affairs" and "Heroes") has been cast to play an Indian doctor who Kelly falls for. Speaking to the site, B.J. Novak (who plays Ryan) has this to say about the casting:

“[Ryan and Kelly] go through a heart-wrenching break-up ... [They] end up becoming bitter enemies in the office when she falls in love with an Indian doctor. He’s very handsome and a much, much better match for Kelly than Ryan is.”

While there's no indication that the arrival of Ramamurthy's character means that Kelly's days at the Scranton Business Park are numbered, we do know that Kaling has a pilot order with another network and her "Office" contract is due to expire -- which sets up for a perfect scenario for her to leave if things work out for her new show.
