NBC's 'Community': who just got nominated for an Oscar?

Even though "Community" is not currently on the schedule, one of its stars at the moment certainly has plenty of reasons to celebrate.

During the Academy Awards nominations ceremony on Tuesday morning, it was revealed that our belobed Dean Pelton in Jim Rash was nominated alongside Alexander Payne and Nat Faxon for Best Adapted Screenplay for "The Descendants" -- a movie that has a score of other nominations to go along with it.

Series star Yvette Nicole Brown has already congratulated Rash on Twitter with this message:

"JIM!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on your OSCAR NOMINATION! :) Buddy, your talent, kindness and humility abounds! Overjoyed for you!"
