NBC's 'Community' casts 'Parks and Recreation,' 'Scrubs' stars

We have some good news when it comes to "Community" -- but unfortunately it's not a return date for the beloved NBC series.

According to a new report from TVLine, former "ER" and "Smallville" vet Michael Ironside is going to be making an appearance on the show's upcoming "Law & Order" tribute as an Army General. (In other words, this has to be good.)

Meanwhile, there are a pair of other casting news when it comes to potential love interests for Gillian Jacobs' Britta:

  • Travis Schuldt - The "Scrubs" alum ("Dudemeister") is going to play a mysterious role.
  • Kirk Fox - In sticking with his theme of playing creepy people, the "Parks and Recreation" star will be a carnie that Britta develops feelings for.
