NBC releases 'Revolution' webisodes

Many fans are hating this longer than usual mid season break that NBC's "Revolution" has going on right now. To somewhat remedy this, NBC announced through Inside TV on Jan. 21 that they are launching a series of webisodes that will help fans gain a little back story into the reasoning behind entering oxygen deprived tunnels under Monroe's compound.

The webisodes will be available on YouTube, NBC.com, Hulu, and on VOD. There will be a new webisode, a total of six, each week until Feb. 18 where fans will simply have to continue the wait until the season resumes on March 25. Many fans feel as if they are being tortured by NBC for making them wait so long when every other show has already resumed their seasons.

The series will be based on letters from Sgt. Joseph Wheatly, the character that leads Miles and his group into the oxygen deprived tunnels and ultimately, into Monroe's trap that nearly gets them all killed.

NBC also plans on posting the first ten episodes of "Revolution" online and on video-on-demand so that fans can catch up before the season resumes.
