Research shows that young children who are over weight or obese will be obese teens, and teens that are obese are probably going to be obese adults.

According to an article at NBC NEWS

“Overweight kindergartners are four times as likely as healthy-weight children to become obese by the eighth grade.”

For people with young children they should start as early as possible setting good healthy eating habits along with daily exercise. In-steeling good healthy eating habits should be done at a very young age.

The whole family needs to work together for the long term goal of a healthier lifestyle for everyone living in the home.

Children follow what their parents do, if you lounge around on the couch when the kids are home and don’t eat healthy or exercise yourself, they will not want to do it either.

It’s easy get started the next time you go grocery shopping. Don’t buy anything that is pre-packaged.

Almost all pre-packaged foods are full of ingredients that preserve the shelf life with additives that pack unhealthy weight on with no nutritional value.

Some of these foods are filled with growth hormones and fat packing ingredients that our bodies don’t need. They have too much sugar and not enough nutrient rich foods.

Children and adults like to snack. Instead of buying packaged chips and donuts exchange these unhealthy foods for healthy fruits and vegetables like bananas, apples, carrots, broccoli, nuts, seeds, oranges, blueberries, and strawberries.

The whole family will be better off for the change in lifestyle.
