Would you like the chance to pitch your own idea for a new comedy series? Your big break may possibly come through www.nbccomedyplayground.com. So what is this website? Well, it’s not an online site to play NBC trivia games. This is actually a real opportunity to pitch your idea for a comedy television show.

From May 1 to June 30, entrants who are creative and possess a comedic flair can apply and submit their pitches online. You will be required to submit a 5-10 minute video of your funny creation along with a five minute video describing your pitch to NBC. The pitch must be for a 30-minute sitcom.

Submissions are judged by various NBC staff members and if your submission scores high enough it then moves on to the semi-finals where it is judged by NBC executives. Finalist will also be given the opportunity to produce a 20-minute pilot presentation. The winners will be selected by Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Jason Bateman, Seth Meyers and other cream of the crop talent.

NBC will feature two of the winners, who will get their show ordered to series and aired on NBC, during primetime. The medal winner, which is chosen by popular vote, will be presented with their own web series. So if your dream of working in the entertainment field has been lying dormant, now is perhaps the time to revisit it. May dreams of Emmy statues dance through your head.
