Something Wicked” opened with an interview with the parents of a teen girl named Skylar Neese. They live in a town called “Star City” at West Virginia. They also interviewed a best friend named Morgan Lawrence who grew up with Skylar & were inseparable. They drifted apart though in High School. Sklyar made two new friends named Sheila Eddy & Rachel Shoaf. They were together all the time.

On Thursday July 5, 2012 Skylar went to her bedroom. The next day she went missing & her parents found a stool outside her bedroom window. “Wendy's” restaurant who employed Skylar had asked the parents if she was going to come to work. Sheila called Sklyar's mom & told her that she, Rachel & Sklyar sneeked out the night before. They picked up Skylar who jumped out her bedroom window. Sheila said that when they returned, they dropped Skylar off a block from her home.

Sheila always claimed she dropped Skylar off at 12 midnight before. On the security camera though it caught Skylar getting into Sheila's car at 12:30 a.m. Sheila was the first friend to go to Sklyar's parents & comfort them. By Sunday evening, Sklyar was missing a full weekend. She didn't use her cell phone or her ATM card & investigators concluded that she wasn't a runaway teen.

At the time, there were several bank robberies in the area. The rumors were flying that Sklyar did drugs with those bank robbers at a party. The police detectives began their investigation on Skylar by checking social media, “facebook”, “twitter” & “instagram.” The rumors continued in-to the Fall semester of High School. Student classmates began to wonder if Sheila & Rachel knew more than what they let on.

The “Federal Bureau of Investigations” (FBI) came to the school to interview the students. Sheila & Rachel's story never wavered, but police investigators had found evidence that was different from the statements from the girls. A surveillance video at a convenience store picked up Sheila's car going west to the town of “Blacksville” instead of east toward “Star City.”

Did Sheila & Rachel know more about Skylar's disappearance? Why did they both quit High School? Did the police investigators find Skylar? - You can watch the full episode of “Something Wicked” at the official website of “Dateline.”
