Kicking off the Super Bowl commercial craze, one of the funniest NBC commercials ever celebrated the Super Bowl Sunday with the casts of several primetime shows singing the current Broadway show song Brotherhood of Man. The song, famous in the play How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying had the cast of almost every major NBC show singing, starting with the cast of 30 Rock.
With the performance of Frank Loesser’s classic song, there was cast from Smash, Parks & Recreation, Parenthood, Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Today show, Harry's Law, The Biggest Loser and at the end a tap dancing Jimmy Fallon.
Bringing together some of the most popular shows of the network, the intricately laced Super Bowl commercial was a chance to show off the line up of the network and provide a fun song for the viewers. Combining comedy, music and famous faces, there were more stars in the 30-second spot than could be seen in an hour on Hollywood Boulevard.
Hosting the Super Bowl this year allows NBC the opportunity to share the programing with the millions of viewers watching. The Super Bowl commercial definitely didn’t disappoint.
