Much like the swarms of films that are being remade, the same is happening on TV over the last few years and now NBC is throwing their hat into the mix with a remake of the classic 1960s show Ironside.
The series follows a tough New York cop whose instincts are second to none making anyone around him have to keep on point, but when his spine is shattered by a bullet two years prior he vowed to not let it slow him down. Now he has handpicked a team of detectives with unique backgrounds who do whatever it takes to solve New York's most difficult and notorious crimes.
The series stars Blair Underwood taking on the role originated by Raymond Burr as well as Brent Saxon, Pablo Schreiber, Spencer Grammer, Neal Bledsoe and Kenneth Choi.
Prepare to see crime from a different level when Ironside premieres October 2nd on NBC.
