NBA Trade Rumors: If Paul Pierce leaves the Boston Celtics so may Kevin Garnett

The Boston Celtics have been looking to make a deal or several since the season ending injury to star point guard Rajon Rondo. According to the latest reports from Shaun Powell of Sports on Earth on Feb. 5, 2013, there are more rumors that could mean big news for both the Celtics and their fans.

Reports from Powell claim that Kevin Garnett will accept a trade to either the Los Angeles Lakers or the Los Angeles Clippers if indeed star small forward Paul Pierce ends up being traded by General Manager Danny Ainge.

Last week the Clippers were believed interested in acquiring the services of Kevin Garnet according to NBA analyst Sean Deveney's official twitter account.

It is reported that the Celtics could try and get either Chris Paul or up and coming point guard talent Eric Bledsoe as well as potentially Caron Butler.

The trade is one the in the long run could be of much better use to the Celtics than the Clippers, however, if there is no deal completed to see Paul Pierce move potentially to another Los Angeles team or somewhere else, there is little chance that Garnett will be leaving Boston this February.
