The NBA schedule 2013 live stream and television schedule brings just two games on Thursday night, but it could be a Halloween treat for some fans. The first of the games on the TV doubleheader will feature the Chicago Bulls (0-1) hosting the New York Knicks (1-0) at the United Center. Although star point guard Derrick Rose is back, he's still a concern heading into tonight's game. The latest game will be presented on both TV and live stream online thanks to TNT network.
An Oct. 31 Chicago Tribune report on tonight's game says that Derrick Rose is a game-time decision tonight for the Bulls, after suffering a sore neck during his first game of the season. The Bulls want to put that first game behind them as it was opening night for the NBA, and "ring reception ceremony" night for the reigning NBA champion Miami Heat. Rose noted that his body is still getting used to playing in full NBA games after having a season and offseason to recover. He noted that he sat out practice this past Wednesday at the Berto Center. Initially, head coach Tom Thibodeau said that Rose would be a game-time decision, while Rose said, “Oh hell yeah, for sure I know I’m going to play,” adding “It’s just that I have to get loose.”
Rose said with regards to the latest potential “setback” with his neck:
"It's definitely frustrating. But I can’t get mad about it, can’t get sad about it. I know I’m doing all the things to get back on the court as quick as possible and working my butt off."
The Bulls will come into this game hungry for their first win of the season after falling to Miami 107-95 two nights ago. Ironically, those same Miami Heat must have been a bit burned out from all the opening night excitement, as they were surprised by the Philadelphia 76ers just last night. Meanwhile, the New York Knicks played their first game of the season and held off the Milwaukee Bucks in their opening game last night, and now get to travel to Chicago for this game.
While the Knicks are 1-0, their first win of the season doesn't come without concerns. They were up as much as 25 points on Milwaukee, a team with low expectations this season, and ended up winning by just 90-83. J.R. Smith remains out of the lineup due to his suspension, while power forward Amar-e Stoudemire is a “day-to-day” injury note.
The ESPN site reported that Carmelo Anthony, who had 19 points in the win, said of the first victory, "It was a test for us to see what type of team we are when it comes down to situations like that."
The Bulls come into this home game as the favorites, listed to win by as many as 8 points at various sports books. The over/under bet for the total points in the game is set at 189 points at various books. Notable "potential" injuries that face the Bulls tonight in addition to D-Rose are Joakim Noah and Kirk Hinrich, who are also "day-to-day" on the injury report.
Tonight's Knicks vs. Bulls game has a scheduled start time of 8 p.m. EST. TNT will present the telecast in standard and hi-definition via cable or satellite providers around the country. Additionally, TNT Overtime is a website which will provide various camera video feeds from on the court live during the game. Fans can go there and vote on which player from each team they'd like to see a camera focus on a well. Keep in mind that although the live stream is free, it may be slightly delayed compared to the telecast on TV.
