The NBA schedule 2012-13 edition brings the Chicago Bulls vs. NY Knicks on Friday night. The marquee matchup will be featured on ESPN for television, and will also be shown live streaming online.
Tonight's Bulls vs. Knicks live game will feature the return of Carmelo Anthony to the Knicks' lineup. Melo was suspended for one game and it hurt the Knicks severely as they had one of their worst offensive outputs of the season. The ESPN.com website reported on Jan. 11 that the Knicks fell to both Boston and Indiana in their previous two contests. That included a dismal 32.1% field goal shooting performance against the Pacers just last night. So tonight they'll look to take advantage of their home court and get back to their winning ways.
In a previous Bulls vs. Knicks game, things got heated between the two teams. That included Carmelo Anthony and Knicks coach Mike Woodson both getting ejected from the game, along with Tyson Chandler and Joakim Noah. Both teams will want to avoid another loss tonight, as well as losing their players to too many fouls or heated situations.
Coach Mike Thibodeau said of his Bulls' team recently losing to the Bucks:
"We did not do the things we should have done to win. Things change quickly in this league. If you don't play with great intensity, especially with people out, you are not going to give yourself a chance to win. If you want to make it a 'you shoot, I shoot' type of game, you're not going to go anywhere on that."
The Bulls will look towards big man Carlos Boozer for another solid double double effort tonight. In addition, Luol Deng and Marco Belinelli have both been productive in contest against the Knicks, so they could be relied upon Friday night.
The meeting between the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks gets started on ESPN via Cox Cable channel 25 at 8 p.m. EST. Additionally, the game will be live streaming online via WatchESPN sports broadband network.
