According to Yahoo Sports on Feb. 4, after 197 straight starts, Blake Griffin's streak ends with hamstring strain, keeping him out of the lineup as his Los Angeles Clippers battle the Washington Wizards.
Griffin played on Sunday, scoring 20 points with 11 rebounds, but he wasn't able to go the next night. Not only does Blake Griffin have the hamstring problems, but his left ankle has been giving him problems lately.
This is just another in a long line of injury problems for the Los Angeles star. Superstar guard Chris Paul has missed the past eight games with a knee injury. This also leads into the speculation that the Clippers might trade for Boston Celtics' star Kevin Garnett for depth.
Chauncey Billups is also out with a foot injury. The Clippers hoped that he could return over the weekend, but now they saw they hope he will be back next week.
Despite all the injuries, Los Angeles remains in third place in the Western Conference, despite going 3-7 over the last ten games. Los Angeles can also feel lucky that their closest competitor, the Memphis Grizzlies, are trading away their entire lineup heading into the playoff race.
