NBA mock draft 2014: Andrew Wiggins officially enters 2014 NBA Draft

NBA mock draft 2014 news has Andrew Wiggins officially leaving Kansas to join the field. In just about every 2014 NBA mock draft, Wiggins is one of the first few players to come off the board. According to a report from ESPN on Sunday night (March 30), Wiggins will make the official announcement during a Monday afternoon (March 31) press conference with his school. That will instantly make the freshman one of the most sought after players coming out of college basketball this year.

Updated Selection Order

Updated Playoff Standings

In a recent projection from basketball analysts at CBS, the expectation is that the Milwaukee Bucks would select the Kansas small forward with the first selection if they win the lottery. All of the analysts are in agreement about how that pick would go down, but they differ a bit in how the rest of the top five will play out. Either Kansas center Joel Embiid or Duke small forward Jabari Parker will be the next player off the board, with the Philadelphia 76ers potentially picking second and the Orlando Magic possibly picking third. Both teams need a lot of additional talent, so this is an important pick for them both to find a player that fits the system.

When it comes to the other players expected to come off the board very quickly most of the 2014 NBA mock draft articles have Australian shooting guard Dante Exum, Indiana power forward Noah Vonleh, Kentucky power forward Julius Randle, UCLA small forward Kyle Anderson, and Oklahoma State point guard Marcus smart in the next group of players to be selected. A lot of the picks are going to come down to order of selection, because with so many good players available it is going to come down to the needs of each franchise. Each team that is in the lottery selections certainly looks to be adding a talented player, but nearly all of them hope the ping pong balls reveal a top three selection.
