On April 11, 1995, Jason Kidd of the Dallas Mavericks and Clyde Drexler of the Houston Rockets both recorded triple-doubles in the same game. Jason Kidd had 38 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, while Clyde Drexler had 29 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. The Dallas Mavericks won the game, 156-147, in double OT.

On March 22, 1997, the same pair of players, Jason Kidd, now with the Phoenix Suns, and Clyde Drexler, still with the Rockets, both again recorded triple-doubles in the same game. Jason Kidd had 12 points, 10 rebounds and 15 asists, while Clyde Drexler had 17 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. The Suns beat the Rockets, 104-99.
Jason Kidd has 107 regular season triple-doubles, while Clyde Drexler had seven in his career. Clyde Drexler is already in the Basketball Hall of Fame, and Jason Kidd will be as soon as he is eligible.
- Chris Webber and Gary Payton
On April 18, 2000, Chris Webber of the Sacramento Kings and Gary Payton of the Seattle SuperSonics (now Oklahoma City Thunder), both recorded triple-doubles in the same playoff game. Chris Webber had 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists, while Gary Payton had 33 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists.
Seattle won the game, 119-112, in OT. Chris Webber had 21 triple-doubles in his career, while Gary Payton had 13.
- Jason Kidd and Jay Williams
On November 9, 2002, Jason Kidd of the New Jersey Nets and Jay Williams of the Chicago Bulls both had triple-doubles in the same game. Jason Kidd recorded 25 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists, while Jay Williams had 26 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists.
The Bulls won the game, 100-93. The triple-double was the only triple-double Jay Williams recorded in his brief NBA career.
- Jason Kidd and Tracy McGrady
On February 23, 2003, Jason Kidd of the Nets and Tracy McGrady of the Orlando Magic both recorded triple-doubles in the same game. Kidd had 26 points, 11 rebounds and 15 assists, while Tracy McGrady had 46 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. Orlando won the game, 113-105. Tracy McGrady had just four triple-doubles in his career.
- Caron Butler and Baron Davis
On November 23, 2007, Caron Butler of the Washington Wizards and Baron Davis of the Golden State Warriors both had triple-doubles in the same game. Caron Butler had 26 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, while Baron Davis had 33 points, 11 rebounds and 15 assists.
Golden State won the game, 123-115. Caron Butler has three triple-doubles so far in his career, while Baron Davis had 12.
