NBA Free Picks to Scores and Odds: Celtics vs. Bulls Vegas Spread

GodsTips has our first Wise Guy since Boston College nearly upset Duke as a double-digit underdog among four college basketball winners.

The free winner tonight is the Bulls vs. Celtics and we are taking Chicago +1. Chicago is the only team in the NBA with a better straight up record on the road than at home.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a history revisionist and the fact Boston has played so well without Rajon Rondo, but in reality it should not be a shock. When teams are underachieving, so often it takes something, anything to wake them up. We have written articles about this.

It can be a coaching change, team meeting, blockbuster trade, or something to rally around. The Rondo injury lit a fire under Boston, but such temporary psychological lifts have a point of diminishing return. Fresh off a loss to lowly Charlotte, the tipping point has arrived.

With Kirk Hinrich and Derrick Rose out for Chicago, we stopped short of making this a premium play, but years of experience tells us threshold for Boston’s letdown is now. In addition, Leandro Barbosa was hurt, so this will take further wind out of the Celtics sail.

Another of our Golden Rules is that uncertainty is the enemy of the square player and most importantly the oddsmaker. But it is the ally of the sharp player.

The loss to Charlotte and the additional injury to Barbosa will more than cancel out the short-term spike Boston rode to their now-ended winning streak. Chicago’s success on the road continues with a Bulls outright.

Tonight’s big card: Center of the Handicapping Universe is 29-14 with Wise Guy plays in all sports going back to NFL. Tonight another college basketball winner is on tap among four college winners. Why is a team peaking now for very discernable reasons? Which injuries are still sneaking well under the radar? Who will be fat and happy and suffer a letdown? Go 4-0 now. Get the picks now
