Arinze to participate in the All-Star Game in Houston, Texas on February 16th

The NBA Development League announced this week that Arinze Onuaku of the Canton Charge has been picked to play in the 2013 NBA D-League All-Star Game to be held in Houston on February 16. Onuaku is the sole member of the Charge to be chosen for the 20 man roster that was decided on by the votes of the 16 NBA D-League head coaches.

“We are very happy for Arinze to be recognized with this honor by all the other coaches around the league,” said Charge Head Coach Alex Jensen. “He has worked extremely hard to improve himself ever since he came here and we look forward to watching him represent the Charge and Cavaliers organizations in the upcoming All-Star Game in Houston.”

This is the first time that Onuaku has been chosen having spent one year with the Reno Bighorns before being picked up in a post-draft trade by the Canton Charge on November 5th of 2012. He is currently averaging 12.4 points on .556 shooting to go along with 10.1 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 0.6 steals in 22.3 minutes per game. His .556 field goal percentage and 10.1 rebounds per game are good for fourth and fifth-best in the league respectively.
