For the NBA All-Star Week 2013 I was chosen, along with seven others, to be a Brand Influencer for FootAction. We participated in several Footaction events around Houston. The weekend started off Thursday with the unveiling of Footaction’s Adidas Originals Collective at Willowbrook Mall. Among the celebs that came out were hip-hop legend DMC of Run DMC and Big Sean. The weekend continued Friday where all the Influencers met up for a lunch and had a private styling session with celebrity stylist Rachel Johnson. Rachel has styled NBA players like Amar’e Stoudemire, LeBron James, Chris Bosh and more. At the beginning of the private session Rachel went right into 3 NBA looks, using Footaction action gear. When people think of Footaction the first thing that comes to mind are shoes, but they also carry a lot of dope gear. The looks were modern, professional and sleek but comfortable. I must say Rachel really showed me the versatility of the Footaction brand. I was also lucky enough to get personal tips on fashion, eyewear and accessories. The day ended with a meet and greet with Kirko Bangz at one of Houston’s most popular nightclubs, The Drake. Saturday, Day 3, was just as awesome as the previous days. We made a trip to the Jordan brand Footaction in Northline Commons and had a chance to do some shopping with Stalley and actor Pooch Hall from The Game. Then it was back to the Adidas Original Collectives store where we had another opportunity to meet and chat with Big Sean (who is a sweetheart by the way.) I had an unbelievable time with Footaction and the rest of the influencers. #OwnHouston
