The NBA All-Star Game 2013 is set to be played Sunday night in Houston, TX, with live streaming online and televised coverage of the game available. This year's game will feature many returning stars including LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Dwight Howard. There's also some brand new stars in the lineup, such as Three-Point Shootout winner Kyrie Irving, who is playing in his first-ever All-Star game, according to USA Today.
The NBA All-Star game live stream is presented on TNT Overtime, a website dedicated to showing live basketball action online including regular season games and the All-Star Weekend events. Meanwhile, televised presentation is available on TNT via cable or satellite providers around the nation. Start time for the game is at 8 p.m. EST.
A report on Feb. 17 from SB Nation notes that the Eastern Conference hasn't won the midseason basketball game for the past several years now. Their last win came back in 2010 with Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat grabbing MVP honors. Since then, the Western Conference has won the last several games, with the 2012 game going down-to-the-wire for a win by just three points. Will their winning ways continue on Sunday night in Houston? It's quite possible now that one major star has switched sides.
Among the starting lineup for the West will be familiar faces such as Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant and Dwight Howard. Howard has been in numerous All-Star games prior to this, but for the East side as a member of the Orlando Magic, rather than the Lakers. Reserves in the West include Russell Westbrook, Zach Randolph, Tony Parker, David Lee, Tim Duncan and hometown favorite, James Harden of the Rockets.
The Eastern Conference is led by a starting lineup including LeBron James and Dwyane Wade of the Heat, along with Kevin Garnett of the Celtics and Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks. Rajon Rondo was selected to start but won't due to injury. He's very likely to be replaced by Cleveland Cavs point guard, Kyrie Irving. The East's reserves include Jrue Holiday of the Sixers, Chris Bosh of the Heat, Luol Deng and Joakim Noah of the Bulls, and Tyson Chandler of the NY Knicks.
The NBA All-Star Game 2013 edition begins at 8 p.m. EST on TNT. Roanoke viewers can see it on Cox Cable channel 58, or check out TNT OverTime for the live stream online coverage.
