With the approaching October release of the much-anticipated NBA 2K15 video game, a variety of new information has surfaced concerning the upcoming release.

NBA 2K recently revealed that Grammy Award winning artist and producer Pharrell Williams has been named as the music curator for NBA 2K15. Williams will join the likes of Jay Z and LeBron James, who both have held the same position for the two most recent editions of the NBA 2K series.

During a press conference held on Monday, July 14th, Williams expressed that he was “honored” to be chosen for the job. A 2K representative also stated that NBA 2K15 would have the largest soundtrack to date for the game franchise.

While the soundtrack listing for the game will not be revealed until later this summer, 2K did take the time to reveal the cover art for the upcoming game.

The much-anticipated game will be available on Oct. 7, 2014. However, preorders of the game will include the KD MVP Bonus Pack. The Bonus Pack will include 5,000 Virtual Currency, a Kevin Durant Throwback MyTEAM Card, two MyTEAM Card Packs, and MyPLAYER Leg Sleeves (inspired by Kevin Durant).

While yesterday provided some official news concerning the upcoming NBA 2K15 release, Durant recently eluded to a secret project that he was working on for the upcoming game. The franchise has also revealed that there would be a number of changes in the upcoming game, including more voices being introduced in the MyPLAYER mode and the addition of International MyTEAM cards.
