The announcement comes alongside an initial teaser trailer titled ‘Most Valuable Players’ in which everyday fans recite part of cover boy Kevin Durant’s 2013-2014 regular season MVP speech. The trailer is alsi spliced together with footage of My Career created players celebrating in-game moments implying an ever so heavy emphasis on its career mode and becoming an ‘MVP’ yourself by going through the grind of a NBA season and experiencing essentially what an actual player may experience.
2K Sports also revealed the game’s pre-order plan called the ‘KD MVP Bonus Pack’ in which if you pre-order “NBA 2K15”, you will receive 5,000 points in Virtual Currency, A Kevin Durant throwback MyTeam card, two MyTeam card packs, and in-game MyPlayer leg sleeves inspired by none other than Kevin Durant himself.
The reveal comes with an anticipation as to what 2K could possibly do improve upon its already almost flawless game design for a basketball game. Many fans have voiced a concern with online servers and how they don’t seem to work as frequently as they would like while others would like to see gradual improvements to fundamental gameplay and visuals. Either way, fans of the franchise are filled with an eagerness to play this game and an excitement to have their own brand of fun on the virtual basketball court taking it to the NBA’s best and brightest… virtually of course.
The “NBA 2K” franchise is a solid simulated basketball outing every year and undoubtedly the people over at 2K Sports are looking to continue that trend this year with “NBA 2K15” set to release on October 7th for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
