“NBA 2K14” is now available on the PC, Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox 360.
Teased for months, 2K did everything from release player ratings earlier, to team rankings leading up to the Oct. 1 release. The last “real” basketball game on current generation consoles, 2K told Examiner last month that they wanted to go out with a bang.
"We’ve tried to perfect the basketball simulation gameplay experience on current generation consoles," 2K Executive Vice President Jeff Thomas said. "We think, as far as gameplay goes, ‘NBA 2K14’ on current gen will be second to none. We’ve listened to our fans and tried to incorporate the updates and changes they’ve been clamoring for. “
To celebrate the game’s launch, 2K also released a video with NBA legend Michael Jordan, “Michael Jordan: Uncensored,” where he discusses trash talking, current players he’d like to play against and how the game has changed over the years.
Now available on current generation consoles, the release date for “NBA 2K14” on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has yet to be announced.
