A Navy Yard shooting has left at least 10 people injured, and authorities are still trying to find the shooter. CNN shared the latest details on the rapidly developing story on Sept. 16.
The incident happened Monday morning around 8:20 a.m. when shots were reportedly fired at a U.S. Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. The suspect is described as being a black male with a bald head who is approximately six feet tall. He is said to be wearing black jeans and a black shirt.
Traffic in the area has been stopped and Reagan National Airport is suspending flight traffic for now. Approximately 3,000 people work at the Washington Navy Yard. Though few details about the victims are available at this point, authorities have indicated that the victims include two law officers. One is a Washington, D.C. police officer while the other is a law officer who is not from the D.C. force.
