Mark Owen’s account of the killing of Osama Bin Laden is the weekend’s bestselling Kindle book so far, according to Amazon.com.
“No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission that Killed Osama Bin Laden” earns an average 4.1 out of 5 rating from the 423 customers who had reviewed it as of early Saturday afternoon.
The book is a success with readers, but disliked by federal officials who say the writing violates rules against disclosure of sensitive information.
Owen examines the training involved in the Mission to kill the terrorist leader and describes the operation to find him and take him out.
"With boots-on-the-ground detail, Owen describes numerous previously unreported missions that illustrate the life and work of a SEAL and the evolution of the team after the events of Sept. 11," according to Amazon's book description. "In telling the true story of the SEALs whose talents, skills, experiences, and exceptional sacrifices led to one of the greatest victories in the War on Terror, Mark Owen honors the men who risk everything for our country, and he leaves readers with a deep understanding of the warriors who keep America safe."
