Socrates said, "He is a man of courage who does not run away, but remains at his post and fights against the enemy." No truer words could be spoken about the job of The Navy Seals. However, when we talk about The Navy Seals we also have to talk about The Naval Special Warfare Community which includes not only The Seals themselves, but their individual families who live with a far greater level of uncertainty than most of us "regular" people do. Remember, that active duty and the deployment cycle is intense, training is constant and missions are often assigned without notice.
Now The Navy Seal Foundation (www.navysealfoundation.org) supports both The Navy Seal and their immediate family in many, many ways. The foundation provides a support network for these families in times of adversity, as well as supports The Seal's family during the sometimes very long deployment of their loved ones. In addition, the foundation also provides fun, family activities four times a year to promote family morale as well as provides supplemental funding for Morale/Welfare/Recreation (MWR) activities such as welcome home celebrations, promotions, retirements and when applicable, award ceremonies.
So to help raise funds, The Navy Seal Foundation (www.navysealfoundation.org) is having its annual fundraising benefit on Monday, March 11, 2013, at Hilton New York, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes both cocktails and dinner.
So, if you understand how important these courageous individuals and their supportive families are for the protection of our nation, then click HERE and attend this very important fundraiser!
