A Hudson County man who posed as a Navy SEAL, and then a Victoria’s Secret owner to get a gullible 15-year-old Brooklyn girl to pose for naked photos, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Newark today for producing and possessing images and videos of child pornography.
Gregory John Schaffer, 35, of Bayonne, already is facing federal charges in Brooklyn for “coercing and enticing a minor to travel for the purpose of engaging in illegal sexual activity.”
When agents raided an office Schaffer was keeping in Jersey City — in the same building as a bail bondsman — they said, they found sex toys, handcuffs, condoms and photos of naked or swimsuit-clad teen girls.
A married father, Schaffer, 34, found the victim on craigslist, where she’d posted an ad seeking a job during the summer or after school.
Authorities said he got her to send him a photo, the conned her into coming to the office alone after she first brought a friend. He told her he owned a Victoria’s Secret at Newport Centre Mall, along with three other stores there, then convinced the girl to sign an employment contract and confidentiality agreement, court documents show.
