Navy SEAL casualty's parents accuse Obama of 'cowardly' leadership

On Monday, in a letter to President Barack Obama, Billy and Karen Vaughn. who lost their only child, the late Aaron Carson Vaughn, a member of U.S. Navy SEAL Team Six in 2011, blasted Obama for his alleged lackluster response to the killing of an American journalist, James Foley, and POTUS's overall lack of leadership.

Their son was a SEAL Team Six member who was one of 33 soldiers killed when a Chinook helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan by Taliban terrorists using a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG).

"In contrast to his actions regarding Foley's death, on Monday, Obama addressed a crowd of 6,000 or so people in Milwaukee during a festival by the local A.F.L.-C.I.O. The President is seen and heard blasting the Republicans over their failure to meet his goals including raising the minimum wage. The video shows an angry man that was the opposite of his demeanor discussing the deaths of Americans. Perhaps Obama should pretend ISIS and al-Qaida are Republicans and then he'll sound more convincing," said former U.S. Marine and NYPD detective, Sid Franes.

"What gets my blood boiling is the fact that most of the mainstream media are refusing to give the letter and the Vaughn family any coverage," Franes, a decorated Marine and cop, added.

Vaughns letter condemns Obama's actions following the release of the video depicting the execution of American journalist James Foley by Islamic State radicals. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn criticized the president's immediate departure to go golfing after he held the press conference on the Foley beheading.

The still heartbroken couple have been calling on President Barack Obama to step down, citing his reaction to the Foley video and 'lack of leadership' in confronting ISIS.

The letter blasts Obama's decision to go golfing after holding an important press conference on the Foley execution video:

"You have been at the helm during unprecedented national security leaks — including, but not limited to the outing of SEAL Team VI on the Bin laden raid, the outing of the Pakistani doctor who provided the intelligence for that raid, the outing of Afghanistan’s CIA station chief, and the outing of your personal “kill list” to make you look tough. In addition, 75 percent of American deaths in Afghanistan and 83 percent of Americans-wounded-in-action have occurred on your watch, according to icasualties.org.

"Your message has come across loud and clear, sir: You are not up to this job. You know it. We know it. The world knows it."

The couple go on to directly ask Obama to resign so that a man or woman "of courage and substance" can take over and address what is happening in Syria and Iraq, where ISIS is attempting to establish a caliphate.

"As you bumble about in your golf cart, slapping on a happy face and fist-pounding your buddies, your cowardly lack of leadership has left a gaping hole — not only in America’s security — but the security of the entire globe. It’s time for you to step down and allow a true leader to restore our honor and protect our sons and daughters... America has always been exceptional. And she will be again. You, Mr. President, are a bump in the road," they wrote.
